The art4emotion project is now underway!

The Erasmus KA2 European project has begun

The ART4EMOTION project aims to respond to the impact of COVID-19 on the socio-emotional and mental well-being of young people, using creativity and the arts as innovative tools to improve their emotional and social skills. The main goal of the project is to consolidate horizontal cooperation between educational centers and the cultural and creative sector to enhance students' interpersonal and socio-emotional skills. The project is based on working to promote inclusion and diversity in the school context through the use of artistic tools.

Who are we?

The ART4EMOTION consortium integrates 9 partners from 3 European countries (Spain, Portugal, and Italy) of 3 types: Cultural and artistic organizations, educational centers, and entities expert in research, promotion, and innovation in education, entrepreneurship, and training of educational staff. The partner organizations are: Escola Virolai, La Xixa teatre, Colegio Altamira, Cafe de las Artes Teatro, Materahub, I.I.S. E. DUNI-C LEVI, Gaiac, Escola secondaria de Paços de Ferreira and INOVA+

What have we done?

  • The first transnational project meeting (TPM1) took place in Barcelona in February 2023, where we had the opportunity to meet in person and establish the project's action plan, as well as the sessions we would carry out in educational centers.

  • We conducted work sessions in each of the educational centers, where we were able to gather students, artists, teachers, and experts in educational themes, to explore and share the socio-emotional needs of the students from the impact of the pandemic and to collect how artistic activities can be a means to work on an interpersonal level.

  • In the second transnational project meeting (TPM2), we met in Matosinhos (Portugal), where we presented all the advances of the research and were able to work on the design and implementation of the toolkit, administrative aspects, and communication and dissemination.

  • These last few days, the partners have been working on mid-project reports and evaluations, to face the final year of the project and achieve the best results. Social networks are ready, follow us on Instagram and Facebook and our website to see the latest news. On the website, all the tools and activities developed in the project will also be available openly and for free.
